Working with the second biggest oil refinery in the UK to deploy SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint Online across the whole organisation.
After rolling out a new SharePoint Intranet, we developed custom workflow applications for automating paper based business processes.
Migrating applications across multiple work streams in an Airport Separation Project
Our main remit was the migration and upgrade of 3 SharePoint 2007 Intranets to SharePoint 2013. We was also tasked with migrating content from legacy applications (FileNet, SQL Server, Lotus Notes and Documentum) into SharePoint 2013.
We worked across each phase including scope, design, build, test, implement, go-live and user adoption. During each phase we gathered requirements for the various document management systems and applications from power users, system administrators and department heads across the business.
Created High Level and Detailed Technical Design Documents and presented them to the Technical Approvals Board.
The project followed Lean Six Sigma principles and we have significantly improved opex by consolidating the above mentioned legacy applications onto SharePoint.
Working on a Lotus Notes to SharePoint 2013 Migration using AvePoint and Dell Quest.
I initially contacted the various Notes applications owners and gathered their requirements, then migrated the content and created the supporting documentation around each migrated Lotus Database: Functional specification, Technical specification and the End User Training Guide.

Developed and delivered a SharePoint Intranet system via the SharePoint Design Manager for the a Consulting Group - To build the Intranet we created Master Pages, Page Layouts, CSS, jQuery widgets, HTML5, Custom Controls and Display Templates.
Creating end user testing documentation and held workshops to train developers in SharePoint Development. Installed and configured a SharePoint 2013 Farm.
Handover documentation included: Intranet design documentation (functional and technical), end user training guide and content author guide.

Rolling out a SharePoint 2013 document management solution across the airport – solution included: Site templates, workflows, branding, reporting dashboards and the conversion of Excel sheets to SharePoint Lists/InfoPath Forms.

Custom SharePoint - Site for the registration of 3rd party contractors to work at the airport, the system allows companies to register themselves and employees, then they can apply for a permit to work. The system then notifies the internal team who run a workflow to generate the permit.
Created a Custom project site for construction related processes and document management– This was to facilitate the document and business process management (metadata, workflows and reporting) for the current security expansion construction project. Trained Project Managers, Programme Manager and External Contractors from the construction industry on how to use the site as a business tool.
Replaced the Excel based applications with SharePoint Applications.
Custom List forms: Replaced and consolidated 20+ spreadsheets that captured information on airport checks and regulatory information. The forms were customised with jQuery, HTML, CSS, and used the geo-location field
